The 4v4 1-2-1 Coaching Bands introduce a lot of information for the youngest soccer players while maintaining a clean and simple design.

Using numbers 1 - 4 to identify the four positions provides the simplest structure to quickly designate four unique positions while minimizing confusion and language barriers that come with names like "left wing" or "right mid."  Placing position "2" on the right and "3" introduces that orientation for future development.  As the team matures into more advanced position numbers, simply flip the bands over to see positions #5 - Center Back, #7 - Right Wing, #11 - Left Wing, and #9 - Striker.

The 1-2-1 diamond formation is regarded as the best 4v4 formation because it introduces the popular DIAMOND shape creating multiple triangle options for 4 players while also introducing the concept of offense, defense, and wing positions.  The design of 4v4 1-2-1 Coaching Bands reinforces the diamond concept with a light green diamond shape outlining the four positions on the field. 

The area of the field covered by each position is highlighted with a yellow rectangle ensuring each player understands the region of the field that is owned by their position and that it is shared with other positions when seen as a set.

Two sets of color coded wristbands are provided which makes dynamic substitution easy!  As substitutes are waiting on the sideline, pre-assign their position by putting a wristband on them.  When its time to substitute players, just match the colors going on and off the field, Yellow off and Yellow on or Red off and Red on.

Substitution patterns can be used to ensure even play time and position rotation.  Using a clockwise pattern going from Yellow > Red > Black > Blue helps to keep the rotation systematic.
